Gilles Thomas and Qalista DN reign supreme in 1.50m Small Grand Prix Sunshine Tour!

Reigning Belgian champion Gilles Thomas is unstoppable! After previously finishing third and second, the Belgian rider claimed victory today with the nine-year-old Qalista DN (breeder: Wim De Nul). The pair won the 1.50m Small Grand Prix! Andres Vereecke also shone on the podium.

In this two-phase special, Gilles Thomas rode the nine-year-old BWP mare, Qalista DN (Emerald van 't Ruytershof) to victory. The duo finished just under two seconds ahead of Sanne Thijssen and her 11-year-old Cooper van de Heffinck son, Cum Laude. Thijssen nearly secured both second and third place, but Andres Vereecke disrupted that plan.

Vereecke guided Joris de Brabander’s 13-year-old Zangersheide mare, Call Me De Muze Z (Clarissimo Z) to a flawless third-place finish. This pushed Eden Leprévost Blinlebreton and Barbie de la Roque Z (For Hero de Hus) into fourth place. Sanne Thijssen completed the top five with her 10-year-old mare, Lolandria Z (Quidam de Revel).
