Saturday's CSI5* 1.45m ranking class at the Longines Global Champions Tour in St. Tropez delivered a thrilling battle against the clock. With margins at the top measured in mere fractions of a second, Germany's Hans-Dieter Dreher ultimately emerged victorious, heading a top five in which every combination produced a faultless performance.
Hans-Dieter Dreher secured the win aboard Vestmalle des Cotis (Baloubet du Rouet) after producing a lightning-fast clear round in 61.33 seconds. The German rider narrowly edged out France's Jean Luc Mourier, who stopped the clock at 61.52 seconds with Pilgrim SW (Cornet Obolensky). Another French combination completed the podium as Arthur Le Vot guided Haristo du Gue (Cicero Z) to third place in 63.97 seconds.
Just outside the top three, Dutch rider Jur Vrieling delivered a strong performance with Grand Slam VDL (Cardento). The pair crossed the finish line clear in 64.37 seconds to claim fourth place. Brazil's Marlon Modolo Zanotelli rounded out the top five aboard Rockwell RC (Kannan), also leaving every rail intact and finishing in 64.55 seconds.
