Dutch show jumpers made their mark during the Versilia Horse Show. In the prestigious 1.55m AB Yahrs Cup, it was Harrie Smolders who outpaced the competition. Riding the ten-year-old grey gelding Devino vd Weretherbach Z, he jumped to victory.

With this performance, they stayed ahead of Brazil's João Victor Castro Aguiar Gomes De Lima, who clocked a faster time (77.18 seconds) with Obama de la Liniere (by Marius Claudius) but finished in second place due to the nature of the standings.
In addition to Smolders' win, there was a third-place finish for Kim Emmen. She guided the SBS gelding Hellix du Seigneur (by Curby du Seigneur) to a clear round in a time of 78.43 seconds.
Fourth place went to the Italian Roberto Previtali. He remained clear with the stallion Quirinus 27 (by Quality Time TN) in 77.95 seconds. The top five was rounded out by Abdulrahman Alrajhi from Saudi Arabia, who recorded a single jumping fault in 74.37 seconds with the KWPN gelding Heartbeat W (by Baloubet du Rouet).
