Victory went to Scott Brash aboard his gelding Hello Jefferson (Cooper van de Heffinck), who produced a flawless jump-off in 41.50 seconds.

Speaking after his win, Brash said: “Jefferson was super tonight, really tried his heart out for me. It was a super tough class with a lot of clears and I knew the likes of Christian were to follow so really had to put it all on the line. Luckily Jeff is super quick and thankfully he put his nose out that little bit further. Very happy to win it!”

The British rider narrowly edged out Christian Kukuk with Chageorge (Chacco-Blue), who stopped the clock at 41.51 seconds, missing the win by just one hundredth of a second.

Jana Wargers claimed third place with the twelve-year-old stallion I Know (Arezzo VDL), finishing clear in 42.28 seconds. On home soil, Khaled Almobty and Spacecake (Stakkatol) impressed with a strong round in 42.81 seconds, taking fourth.

Jörne Sprehe and Toys (Toulon) completed the top five in 42.84 seconds, rounding off a tightly contested class.
