The Prix Groupama over 1m50 during the CSI5*-W in Lyon was a technically demanding competition in which speed proved to be the deciding factor. Willem Greve proved to be the strongest with his ten-year-old Candy Luck Z, with whom he completed the course flawlessly and at lightning speed. The Dutch rider beat two French combinations.
Willem Greve rode Candy Luck Z (Comme Il Faut) clear through the course in 61.69 seconds, narrowly beating the competition.
Second place went to Lalie Saclier with J'adore (Carambole), who also remained faultless but was 0.39 seconds slower with a time of 62.08 seconds. Frenchman Olivier Robert completed the podium with Espri du Figuier AA (Upsilon), clocking 62.66 seconds.
Fourth place went to Robin Muhr with Foud'joie de Stel (Canturo), who put in a strong clear round in 62.86 seconds.
The top five was rounded off by Switzerland's Nadja Peter Steiner in the saddle of Nice van 't Zorgvliet (Emerald), who remained faultless in 63.81 seconds.
