In the Wivaldi Prize, a 1.40m speed class at CSI5*-W level, riders in Amsterdam faced a course where pace and precision had to go hand in hand. With a fast winning time and a top-ranked line-up packed with established names, it also proved to be a strong moment for the Dutch riders, who firmly claimed their place on the leaderboard.
Victory went to Hessel Hoekstra, who produced a faultless round with Stargos VDL (Stakkato Gold) in 56.07 seconds, securing the first CSI5 win of his career*.
Hoekstra finished convincingly ahead of fellow Dutch rider Jur Vrieling, who also jumped clear with VDL Mattias (Comme Il Faut) to take second place in 59.13 seconds. Third place went to France’s Julien Epaillard, who guided Guarana d’Auge (Safari d’Auge) to a clear round in 59.21 seconds, just edging in behind Vrieling’s time.
Fourth place was claimed by Sara Vingralkova for the Czech Republic with Cornet Blue PS (Chacco-Blue), clear in 60.08 seconds. The top five was completed by Norway’s Oda Charlotte Lyngvaer, who crossed the line faultless with Farzack des Abbayes Oda (Montender) in 60.28 seconds.
The Netherlands continued its strong collective performance further down the result list with several more clear rounds. Suus Kuyten guided Jancoulavsco Fortuna (Canabis Z) to sixth place in 61.41 seconds, Leopold van Asten finished 11th with VDL Groep Kwienbellie (Toulon) in 66.11 seconds, and Willem Greve also stayed clear with Party In de Hus (Kannan) to take 12th in 66.46 seconds.
