Germany's Jana Wargers has announced the retirement of her trusted Limbridge (Guardus Limbus, breeder: Ralf Pawlowski). The 16-year-old gelding was co-owned by Ashford Farm’s Enda Carroll and Jos Lansink, Limbridge has been instrumental in shaping Jana Wargers’ career. Limbridge will now enjoy retirement with Wargers in Germany as she relocates from Belgium.
Competing at the highest level for four seasons, Limbridge and Wargers achieved numerous accolades. In 2021, they won the CSIO3* FEI Jumping World Cup in Budapest and placed third in the CSIO5* RWE Prize at CHIO Aachen. In 2022, they secured second in the CSIO5* Rolex Grand Prix of Rome and contributed to Germany’s Nations Cup victory at CHIO Aachen, leading to a 9th-place finish at the FEI World Championships in Herning. The following year, they represented Germany at the European Championships in Milan, finishing 4th with the team. In 2024, they returned to the German Nations Cup team in Aachen for a third consecutive year, delivering a double-clear performance.
