During the Highlands Cup in Amenia, Karl Cook (USA) made his debut with a new talent under the saddle: the 11-year-old mare Okapi van het Schaeck (Balou du Rouet x Calido I).
The 11-year-old mare, bred by Perry De Winter, was previously competed by Belgium’s Sacha Beghuin, reaching up to CSI3* 1.45m level. Before that, she was also ridden by Koenraad Bauters, Nina Fagerström, and Karlien Fannes.
With this new addition, Cook gains an extra asset in his string, meant to support his top mounts Caracole de La Roque and Foxy de La Roque, as he himself explained.
