“There are many people with horses, but few horse people”: the story of show jumper Alexander Housen

© Daan Jansen

‘I think I could ride a horse before I could ride a bicycle.’ It's a sentence that Alexander Housen utters almost casually, but it says everything about his life path. ‘For me, this isn't work. It's a passion. I wouldn't want to do anything else.’ A rider who lives for his horses, who works with passion and patience, but who is not afraid to voice his ambitions. ‘My ultimate goal is to become number one in the world. I know I have it in me.’
