Steve Guerdat was the first of six jump-off contenders with Venard de Cerisy (by Open Up Semilly). With riders like Kühner, De Luca and Staut still behind him, he already knew what he had to do: jump a fast clear round to put the pressure on his competitors. He succeeded: his time of 42.44 seconds would last until the last combination. Staut thus did just a little better in the saddle of Beau de Laubry Z: their time of 41.41 seconds earned them victory.

Third place went to last year's defending champion, Max Kühner. This time he counted on EIC Cooley Jump The Q (by Pacino) to jump to bronze in 43.61 seconds. Nicolas Delmotte was the second Frenchman in the top five. His KWPN stallion Jordan Molga M (by Etoulon) did not come close to the wood and clocked off in 43.62 seconds.

Lorenzo de Luca followed with Denver De Talma (by Vigo Cece) in fifth place. The duo tapped out the first obstacle of the jump-off after which the pace was slowed down. Nevertheless, this resulted in fifth place as the fastest four-pointer.
