Today, the CSI5* riders in Vienna faced a 1.45m class as their first test. The 24 participants were presented with a two-phase course with a total of 14 obstacles. Only the top 10 managed to clear all 14 obstacles without faults within the time limit.
Brazilian Marlon Modolo Zanotelli and Falko Ste Hermelle (Vigo d'Arsouilles) were by far the fastest and claimed gold in 27.80 seconds. Second place went to the Netherlands thanks to Jur Vrieling in the saddle of McAllister VDL (Inaico). They set a time of 28.91 seconds. Jörne Sprehe took home the bronze for Germany on the back of Hickstead White (Hickstead) in 29.88 seconds.
Hasan Senturk finished in first place off the podium with Avant Toi (Flyinge Quite Easy), just ahead of Marcus Ehning and Baloubets Rose Dree (Baloubet du Rouet) who finished in fifth place.
