USA's Laura Kraut has said goodbye to one of her top horses. Emeraldo 4 (Emerald x Narcos II, breeder: Gestüt Eichenhain) is moving to the stables of Cian O'Connor.
O'Connor will make his debut with the nine-year-old gelding this weekend in Mexico in the CSI2* classes. Together with Kraut, Emeraldo 4 claimed victory last summer in the CSIO5* 1.50m Prize of Städte Region Aachen during CHIO Aachen.
The pair also placed multiple times in the 1.50–1.55m classes in Wellington, Ocala, Rome, Dublin, and La Baule. O'Connor had already set his sights on the gelding during the Winter Equestrian Festival earlier this year. In Aachen, the Irishman was fully convinced of the Emerald son.
