In Vienna, Saturday’s sportive LGCT program concluded with the 1.50m Kronen Zeitung feature class. After a jump-off with nine combinations, Martin Fuchs secured the CSI5* victory.
Fuchs and his 14-year-old Conner Jei (Connor, breeder: Gerhard Stamer) raced to the win in 34.00 seconds. The pair stayed more than a second ahead of Eduardo Pereira de Menezes with the 10-year-old KWPN mare H5 Knockando (Comme Il Faut). Riding the mare bred by Vera Klumpers, the Brazilian rider pushed Katrin Eckermann into third place.
The German rider completed the podium with the 12-year-old mare Chao Lee (Comme Il Faut, breeder: Otmar Eckermann).
With the KWPN gelding I Know (Arezzo VDL), Jana Wargers took fourth place. Competing on home soil, Bianca Babanitz rounded out the top five with Dakato (Diarado).
