The Longines League of Nations Autumn Tour delivered a Grand Prix finale that was thrilling for everyone who was there. Under the golden September sky in St. Tropez, 46 riders set out for the CSI4* 1.60m test, but when the dust settled, the tricolore flag was flying highest. With two Frenchmen leading the field and a Swede breaking into the podium, the jump-off became a celebration of daring horsemanship and split-second brilliance.
It was Nicolas Sers who rose above them all. Riding the powerful Espoir de La Chesnee (President), he delivered two immaculate rounds, sealing victory with a blistering 39.31 seconds. The Frenchman’s risk-taking in the final line paid off, sending the home supporters into jubilation.
Fellow countryman Nicolas Layec came agonizingly close aboard Fee de Caryan (Vigo d'Arsouilles). Also double clear, he crossed the timers in 39.70 seconds, just shy of the winning mark but enough to secure a French one-two finish.
Sweden’s Marcus Westergren ensured an international flavor on the podium with Airco de L’Esprit Z (Air Jordan Alpha Z). Their clean performance in 40.00 seconds showcased balance and control, earning a well-deserved third place.
Just behind, Arthur Le Vot piloted Djinn Cece (New Look du Thot) to fourth in 42.65 seconds, while seasoned campaigner Philippe Rozier and Le Coultre de Muze (Presley Boy) completed the top five in 43.64 seconds.
