The evening program in Gothenburg delivered some thrilling show jumping. In the 1.50m Prize of AJ Produkter, the win was decided after a nine-horse jump-off. Robert Whitaker held off the competition aboard the 13-year-old Vermento (by Argento).
After a nine-way jump-off, Robert Whitaker galloped to victory in 34.94 seconds on Vermento, a horse bred by John Whitaker. The pair finished just under a second ahead of local rider Thomas Ryan and the sBs gelding Jezebeu BC (by Thunder vd Zuuthoeve), bred by Tonia de Paepe.
Ryan, riding Celine Bradt's former gelding, finished more than three seconds faster than Paul Schockemöhle's rider, Eiken Sato. Sato completed the top three in the saddle of Campai 3 (by Chacco-Blue).
As the slowest clear round in the jump-off, Wilma Hellström landed just off the podium. The Swede took fourth place with the 11-year-old mare Eleven (by Coltaire Z), followed by Jodie Hall McAteer and Key West (by Otangelo).
