That Cupcake Z had talent was clear from the very beginning. As a foal, she already stood out for her sharpness and intelligence. “Cupcake was a very alert and lively foal, completely in the style of her mother Candlelight,” says breeder Sandra Van den Broek-Wilmes. “She was smart, quick, and careful. Even as a foal she was jumping over the edges of the stable, that’s something we like to see. That attitude clearly comes from her mother.”
