In Samorin, the highlight of an international weekend was jumped just now: the Grand Prix of the CSI4* competition. 49 Combinations entered the first round and thirteen of them managed to get through the first round without any time or jumping faults. A jump-off with thirteen therefore had to be conclusive. In the jump-off, it remained exciting until the last combination: In extremis, Jörne Sprehe managed to beat Lily Attwoord's time, which had been in the lead until then. Sprehe's time of 39.54 seconds gave her and Toys (by Toulon) the victory.

Lily Attwoord and the Zangersheide gelding Cor-Leon vd Vlierbeek Z (by Calvaro FC) thus had to settle for second place at the last minute. The duo recorded a clear round in 40.57 seconds. Third place also fell to a rider: Fanny Guerdat Skalli, who saw her husband win a silver Olympic medal last week, captured the bronze herself. She counted on Henzo des Montants (by Vagabond de la Pomme) to jump a clear round in 40.67 seconds.

Lucas Porter and the KWPN-bred Kentucky N (by Carrera VDL) finished just to the podium in fourth place. They left the wood untouched and finished in 41.01 seconds. Niels Bruynseels provided the best Belgian performance. He sent his BWP-er Origi vd Vosberg clear through the jump-off and stopped the chrono after 42.17 seconds. This earned them fifth place.
