Robert Murphy (GBR) and Matthew Sampson (GBR) made it a get-together in the CSI4* 1m50 Grand Prix Qualifier of Valkenswaard, in which Murphy pulled the longest straw.

In this Longines Ranking class, Murphy steered the 12 years old Hulde G (Vigo d'Arsouilles) without touching a pole to the finish, clocking in at 71,31s. The only other to manage to stay under those 72 seconds was compatriot Matthew Sampson (GBR). For his own crowd, Gerben Morsink (NED) took third place aboard Navarone Z, guiding the Nabab the Reve stallion to the finish in 73,26s.

Also riding on home soil, Lars Kersten (NED) finished fourth with Chuck Marienshof Z (Colestus) with his time on 73,26s. The last clear jump-off was ridden by Laura Kraut (USA) and Dorado 212 (Tailormade Diarado's Boy).
