The U25 Grand Prix at 1.45m with a jump-off at Jumping Amsterdam stayed thrilling right up to the final rider. For a moment, it looked as though the win might go to the Czech Republic, until Skye Morssinkhof entered the arena…
The victory remained on home soil thanks to Skye Morssinkhof, who guided VDL Quickthago (Quickly de Kreisker) through a clear first round and a faultless jump-off, setting the fastest time of 32.40 seconds.
Albert Pisarik came closest to challenging the Dutch advantage with Kyfo (Comme Il Faut). He also produced a double clear, but his 33.30 seconds left him just short of the top spot.
Third place went to the Netherlands as well, with Mart IJland and Phenix van de Noordheuvel (Zambesi TN) delivering another clear jump-off in 33.57 seconds to secure a place on the podium.
Just outside the top three, Dutch riders continued to make their presence felt. Hilde Veenstra steered L-Dora van de Zietfort (Eldorado v/d Zeshoek) to fourth with a clear jump-off in 33.76 seconds, placing yet another Dutch combination among the leaders. The top five was completed by Ahmed Naser Elnaggar and Kennedy HX (Vittorio), who also jumped double clear and stopped the clock at 35.12 seconds.
The Dutch dominance did not stop there. Thijmen Vos also made the jump-off with Cadillac Z (Carrera VDL), finishing seventh after four faults in 38.88 seconds. With multiple combinations advancing to the jump-off and the win staying in Dutch hands, this U25 Grand Prix in Amsterdam proved not only a gripping battle for victory, but also a clear confirmation of Dutch depth in the emerging international ranks.
