The final class of day three at the Brussels Masters, a 1m50 Grand Prix qualifier, produced a thrilling jump-off. Out of fifty competitors, only twelve combinations advanced to the decisive round.
Victory went to Swiss top rider Steve Guerdat, who delivered a flawless round with Lancelotta (Lancer III) in 36.33 seconds. His jump-off was impeccable, once again proving why he remains among the absolute elite of the sport.
In second place came Belgian rising talent Emilie Conter, who, with Portobella van de Fruitkorf (Bamako de Muze), captivated the home crowd. Her clear round in 36.65 seconds was only three-tenths slower than Guerdat, securing a brilliant silver finish.
The podium was completed by Irish rider Cian O’Connor with Canbella Blue PS (Cantolar), who also stayed clear and stopped the clock at 36.92 seconds. Close behind was Daniel Deusser on Pepita van ’t Meulenhof BR (El Torreo de Muze) in 37.10 seconds, while his compatriot Kendra Claricia Brinkop rounded out the top five with Naf Naf DMC (Thunder Vd Zuuthoeve) in 37.60 seconds.
