This week, the young riders are heading to Lier for the FEI Jumping Nations Cup Youth Finals. Today, the first qualifiers are scheduled at the Azelhof site.
The pony riders were third to compete and had to complete a 1.25m course. Only two teams kept all the poles in place and managed to finish within the time limit.
The French team set the fastest time. Olivier Bost led Victoire Duhamel together with Habanera du Loir (Mozart de Beny), Alice Duray in the saddle of Ungaro of Qofanny (Lancer), Espoir du Rond Pre (Welcome Sympatico*SL) under Apolline Baudry and Gabrielle Richard on the back of Dandy Royale (Malito de Reve) to the gold.
The silver went to Great Britain, led by Clare Whitaker. The team consisted of Hollie Gerken, Nellie Lock, Raphaela Uma Dawson and Darcy Honeybunnn Daisy Breen. They brought Galaxy V (Argento), Catho van de Langvelden Z (Cantaloupe), MHS Glow (Dondoctro Ryal K) and One Saharah (Daniel) to Lier respectively.
The Swedish team claimed the bronze. Sweden sent Selma Gustafsson Thelin, Lilli Mellström, Signe Ekengren and Viggo Bergstrand. They saddled Barravalley Shadow (Templebready Fear Bui), Sparkling Lackaghmore Joey, Pat's Choice (Tulira Robuck) and Gaoth Mhara Lad (I Love You Melody).
