This week, the young riders are heading to Lier for the FEI Jumping Nations Cup Youth Finals. Today, the first qualifiers are scheduled at the Azelhof site.
The Young Riders were the second to compete in their first qualifier. The course was timed at a height of 1.45m. Three teams managed to keep their fault count at zero.
After a victory in the Juniors, the team from the United States also raced to first place here with a lead of more than 9 seconds. Anne Kursinski led Skylar Wireman with Barclino B (Constanzehof's Barcley), Olivia Sweetnam on Epic (Billy Mexico), Alexa Elle Lignelli in the saddle of Xo Zadora (Zavall VDL) and Carlee Mccutcheon on the back of Aralyn Blue (Chacco-Blue) to victory.
The silver went to the Italian team consisting of Martina Ferrari, Greta Lepratti, Edoardo Piccini and Davide Vitale, who rode Alonko Hero Z (Aganix du Seigneur), Mercy van 't Ruytershof (Arko III), Kompagnon LJ (Latour VDM) and Earl Grey Z (Elliot van ter Hulst) respectively.
The Belgian team jumped to third place in front of their home crowd. Bart Jay Junior Vandecasteele, Vic de Plecker, Evelyne Putters and Leon Brutsaert were led by Filip Lacus. The riders brought Vamos de la Pomme d'Or Z (Vigo d'Arsouilles), Ilypsho (Zirocco Blue), Oberon VDH (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve) and Corleone Tour Vidal (Mylord Carthago) to the Azelhof site to get the job done.
