International greats will be in action, such as Swedish world champion Henrik von Eckermann—defending his 2023 and 2024 title—and Olympic team champion Ben Maher from Great Britain. Other notable participants include French Olympic team bronze medalist Julien Epaillard and American silver medalist Laura Kraut.

Swiss riders Martin Fuchs and Edouard Schmitz will compete for the title on home soil, but the Belgian riders are determined to make their mark in this prestigious competition.

We are rooting for a top performance from Pieter Devos and Gregory Wathelet and hoping for a podium finish for Belgium!

Pilot Project for Horse Welfare During the Final

During the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final 2025 in Basel, the organizers, in collaboration with the R-haltenswert movement, are taking an important step toward transparency and horse welfare. They are launching the Equine Quality Control (EQC) pilot project, in which three independent experts will observe the warm-up areas throughout the tournament.

The experts will record any concerns and consult with officials daily. EQC will support the official FEI stewards without taking over their authority. The focus is entirely on the welfare of the horses. Due to infrastructure limitations, the warm-up areas will not be accessible to the public, but to ensure transparency, three large screens will be installed at the entrance of St. Jakobshalle.
