US Equestrian has officially named Kent Farrington’s mare, Greya (Colestus x Contender), as the International Horse of the Year. "With her exceptional technique, Greya proved to be one of the most consistent horses of the year. She undoubtedly played a key role in Kent reaching the world number one spot on the Longines Ranking," the federation stated.
The duo enjoyed a sensational 2025 season, winning no fewer than seven CSI5* Grand Prix competitions. Furthermore, they finished within the top 12 in 15 international classes throughout the year. Among their standout performances were victories in the American Gold Cup, the CSI5* Kentucky Invitational, and a prestigious win in Geneva.
Farrington responded with delight to the news: "I am incredibly proud to receive the Horse of the Year Award with Greya. She performed exceptionally well throughout 2025. She is, without a doubt, an exceptional horse."
