International Grand Prix Horse Anthrazit (11) has passed away!
by Sofie Equnews
Greta Heemsoth has had to say an unexpected and premature goodbye to her promising horse Anthrazit (All at Once x Weltmeyer). The German dressage rider and the eleven-year-old Westphalian gelding made their international Grand Prix debut in March of this year.
With Anthrazit, Heemsoth enjoyed a highly promising sporting career. As a five- and six-year-old, the pair reached the finals of the Bundeschampionat. In 2020, they were selected for the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses, but were unable to compete due to the event’s cancellation amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, they finished ninth in the prestigious Louisdor Prize final. The highlight came this past March, when they made their international Grand Prix debut in Herning. Scoring 69.587% in the Grand Prix and 69.617% in the Grand Prix Special, they finished second in both tests.
