The German show jumper, Richard Vogel, has announced the sale of his 11-year-old gelding, Cydello (Cascadello x Forsyth FRH). In the future, fellow countrywoman Katrin Eckermann will compete with the gelding under the banner of Iron Dames Equestrian.
Deborah Mayer of Iron Dames continues her expansion with a stable full of top horses. Mayer’s strategy remains focused on acquiring horses that have already performed at the highest level.
Vogel and Cydello began their partnership in 2023. The pair achieved several international successes together. Earlier this year, Vogel rode his last international course with the gelding. The duo won the CSI4* 1.60m Grand Prix at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington. They also shone earlier this year during the CSI3* 1.55m Grand Prix in Wellington.
Their record also includes a 1.55m CSI5* in Mexico, the CSIO3 1.60m Grand Prix of Mannheim, and the CSI3 1.55m in Wellington in 2024.
