Chilean rider in hospital after bad fall at WEG

Chilean rider Tomas Couve Correa was rushed to the hospital after heavy fall in the team jumping at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in the stade D’Ornano this afternoon. Tomas came off after his horse, Underwraps, stumbled over an oxer and then hit him on the head. The rider stayed down and paramadics rushed towards him to treat him on the spot. Later that day an official statementthat he had been taken to hospital for evaluation. It further reads: “He was fully conscious when he left the stadium by ambulance and his life is not in danger.” Tomas-Couve-Correa-1
