Swiss rider Alain Jufer will not be able to ride for some time. The 38 year old Swiss already had recurring pain in his back for a few weeks. Last Thursday, the 24th of November, he had an operation on a hernia in Zurich. The surgery went well and Jufer now has to rest and will have to follow some physiotherapy sessions. If everything goes allright, he will be able to ride again at the beginning of next year. Lately the rider was going really well at international show with different placings at the 'Morocco Royal Tour'. He even won two classes there, including the Grand Prix in Tetouan with Wiveau M. Also in Calgary, Spruce Meadows, he did well. He won the Nations Cup there with the Swiss team. Jufer was planning to go to the CHI in Geneva, but he won't be able to do that now.
