Chips sold to Marie Longem

IMG_3912-1024x682Chips (s. Come On) and Olympic Champion Steve Guerdat ended second at last years Land Rover Masters in Mechelen. Now the gray horse will join the stables of Marie Longem, the Norwegian girlfriend of Belgium's toprider Gregory Wathelet. On the back of Chips, Steve Guerdat not only ended second at Mechelen's Masters last year, but in the 1m50 course the pair rode towards a third place. In September 2012 Chips and Guerdat ended fourth on the Global Champions Tour leg of Lausanne. Chips was born on the Gestüt Lewitz and was initially ridden by Pius Schwizer, until Yves Piaget bought the horse and placed it with Steve Guerdat. Now the gray gelding will join, inter alia Riesling du Monselet (s. Kashmir vh Schuttershof), at this Young Riders stables. Marie herself competed last year for the Norwegian team at the European Championships for Young Riders in Ebreichsdorf. According to Wathelet the horse will be Marie's ticket for this years European Championships. "Chips is a horse with a lot of power and capacity.
