Sad news was announced today as Ian Millar's longtime jumping partner Star Power has passed away. Miller announced the news on his official Facebook account. "It is with the deepest sadness that we report to you that Star Power passed away yesterday. It is unjust that what should have been a long and well deserved retirement was cut so short. Star Power represented Canada, all of us at Millar Brooke and Team Works in such an impressive and successful manner for so long that he will not be forgotten. RIP Star, you will be missed.” The 15-year-old son by Quick Star x Calvados competed with Canada's Miller at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. The pair also represented their country at the 2011 Pan Am Games. During his career the gelding jumped to nine international victories among one at the Nations Cup in Coapexpan.
