Patrice Delaveau's 12-year-old Lacrimoso 3 HDC will be sidelined for several months. The Holsteiner gelding (Landjunge x Cascavelle) has been diagnosed with hoof cracks. Delaveau and Lacrimoso 3 HDC won the Longines Masters of Paris CSI5* Grand Prix in December 2015. The pair also collected over a dozen international FEI victories. After a disappointing result at the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final in Gothenburg, Sweden on March 26th, where Lacrimoso had an uncharacteristic refusal and rails down, the horse’s owners at Haras Des Coudrettes brought in their team veterinarian to perform a thorough examination. An MRI exam revealed the edema and cracks that will require rest from competition until this fall. “The behavior of Lacrimoso in Gothenburg was incomprehensible, and he was very brave to jump with such an issue,” read a statement on the HDC Facebook page.
