Tullius, runner-up in the William Hill Lincoln at Doncaster, will step up to Group Two class for bet365 Mile at Sandown on April 25. The Andrew Balding-trained six-year-old is likely to be ambitiously campaigned this season, with the Lockinge at Newbury and the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot also on his radar. Tullius does, however, need cut in the ground if he is to show his best form on a racecourse. Profiles A M Balding Tullius (IRE) Sam Hoskins, syndicate manager for owners Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds, said: "Having just spoken to Andrew, I think we'll probably run in the bet365 Mile at Sandown next. "Andrew feels he'll run well there and that he's back to the same form as in 2012. "He's also been given an entry in the Lockinge. That is obviously a fair leap in class, but he would be interesting if the ground came up soft. "Andrew was also keen to give him an entry in the Queen Anne. It's another step up, but that race can sometimes lack a bit of strength in depth. "He's a very good horse who will hopefully take us to some exciting places this year." © Sportlife
