Christian Kukuk out for a while after crash in Aachen
It did not look that when Christian Kukuk got unseated from Carilot at yesterdays showjumping competition in Aachen. But today St. Georg lets the world know that the rider from Beerbaum Stables had broken a collar bone on his fall.

It happened in jump five of the Prize of Europe, the 4 meter wide moat were Katrin Eckermann also fell twice two years ago. Christian Kukuk and Carilot made a huge jump across the water and stumbled. And while the hrose stood up immediately and ran away, Kukuk initially remained on the floor. With Ludger Beerbaum running to help his rider right away Kukuk was up on his feet when the paramedics got there and left the station on his feet.
After reexamination in Aachens hospital the medical staff found a broken collar bone meaning the rider will have to stay on the ground for a while.

We wish Christian a speedy recovery.
