50% of all investments in renewable energy are spent on solar energy. The reason for this is very simple: the investment yields a fairly quick return. Needless to say, this trend has not gone unnoticed by Gallagher. In recent years, Gallagher has invested in the development of robust, lightweight solar powered energizers that generate enough power to supply the fence all year round. The result: the introduction of the S400. A lightweight energizer that works on daylight and can power fencing as long as 30 km!
'The perfect solution for a farmer who is in an area without a power supply or needs a mobile fence that covers long distances,' explains Vincent Staal, Product Manager for Gallagher Europe. ‘The S400 is the strongest integrated solar device on the market that can easily be moved and connected. The energizer weighs just 12 kg and is put into operation by a single turn of the button, leaving the farmer free to concentrate on other matters.'
Gallagher is using a new technology to supply a fence of up to 30 km with power using a relatively small solar panel. The solar panel is integrated in the device and works on daylight, i.e. not only on sunlight. The device also features a unique battery management system. The system ensures that at times when there is not enough daylight (such as during the short days of winter) the device slows down the pulse on the fence. This spares the battery, and the energizer makes sure that the fence is sufficiently powered. This device guarantees that the farmer can be certain that his fence will be powered all year round.
In short, the solar range offers the farmer a user-friendly solution with high reliability when it comes to powering the fence. Using this device also saves the farmer money in the sense that he no longer has to regularly change the batteries.
