Glamourdale voted for second time as 'KWPN Horse of the Year'

GertJan van Olst seems to have a knack for horses vying for the title of Horse of the Year. Last year, it was his Kjento's turn, and this year, it's Glamourdale.

Remarkably, this is the second time this stallion has received this title; he was also named Horse of the Year in 2020. Bred by Joop Rodenburg from Ouderkerk aan den IJssel, Glamourdale has been achieving success throughout his entire life. The champion of the Stallion Inspection won the World Young Dressage Horse Championship for Seven-Year-Olds, the CHIO in Aachen, and in 2022, he became a double World Champion with his regular rider, Charlotte Fry, winning both the Grand Prix Special and the Freestyle.

The black pearl was incredibly successful last year as well, showcasing his brilliance at the European Championship in Riesenbeck. This performance earned a gold medal for the British team and an individual silver medal in the Freestyle with a personal record score of 92.38%.

Currently, Glamourdale is on track for the Olympic Games in Paris this summer. As the highest-ranked KWPN horse in the individual WBFSH ranking, he has significantly contributed to the leading position of Dutch dressage breeders.
