Harry Charles and Billabong du Roumois snatch Friday's biggest win in Prix FFE Generali of Bordeaux

French Bordeaux honored Harry Charles as the winner of the main competition on Friday night. In the CSI5*-W 1.50m class, he guided Billabong du Roumois to victory.


Charles (GBR) entered the competition with the 13-year-old chestnut in the first half. With the son of Mylord Carthago, the Brit soared through the 1.50m high course, stopping the clock at 58.27s, placing them in the lead. Their time remained unmatched, securing the victory. Roger Yves Bost (FRA) claimed the second position on home soil riding Ballerine du Vilpion (Baloubet du Rouet), finishing in 60.19s. With a time of 61.45s, Steve Guerdat (SUI) on Looping Luna (Lort Fauntleroy) took the third spot.

Eduardo Alvarez Aznar's (ESP) time with D'Orient Batilly (Numero Uno), at 61.50s, earned them the fourth position. The top five was concluded by Julien Anquetin (FRA) and the 18-year-old son of Nabab de Reve, Gravity of Greenhill.
