Kevin Staut is best of the best in Nations Cup of 2022

PferdeWoche did keep a very nice ranking during the past Nations Cup season. The Swiss horse magazine collected statistics on all riders and countries throughout the season. Kevin Staut was voted best Nations Cup rider, while Belgium was rewarded as best country.

Vilamoura, Portugal, was the final stop for the past Nations Cup season. With 765 clear rounds throughout 33 competitions, we can look back on a successful but above all exciting season.

French rider Kevin Staut was awarded the title of 'Mr. Nations Cup' with no less than twelve clear rounds. Belgian Koen Vereecke had two less on the counter and came in on silver with ten clear rounds. With nine clear rounds, Harrie Smolders and Simon Delestre came in on bronze. Staut's performance is not too shabby when you compare that last the record stood at seven clear rounds with Jérôme Guery and André Thieme at the top.

Belgium was named the best performing country. The Belgian riders jumped a total of 83 clear rounds. A great achievement because following on place two and three, Ireland and France only had 75 and 67 successful rounds respectively.
