Steve Guerdat: "Dynamix deserves her picture in my indoor at home!"

In Milan Steve Guerdat crowned himself to the new European Champion. "I am blessed with this horse. Dynamix is the best horse I've ever had." reacts Guerdat.

"I've had many great horses throughout my career, but she simply combines all the qualities of the others into one horse. I allowed her to develop calmly. Just a year ago, she competed in her first 5-star event," the new European champion says.

"Now Dynamix is getting her winner's picture in the riding arena," laughed the Swiss rider, admitting that he sometimes has nightmares about the mare being sold. "Fortunately, her owner reassured me that I don't need to worry about the possibility of selling the mare." Dynamix will now enjoy an eight-week break before heading to Lyon and Geneva in the autumn and winter. Horseman Steve Guerdat.

The vice-European champions of the European Championship, Philipp Weishaupt and Zineday, also delivered outstanding rounds. Only a single rail down by the nine-year-old chestnut marred an otherwise excellent performance.

"The result is fitting," Philipp Weishaupt states afterwards. "Steve earned his place at the top with five clear rounds, not me, so it's all right. I saw many of my colleagues sweating before their rounds today. I didn't have to worry; Zineday can jump anything. At the beginning of the year, coming to the European Championship wasn't even my plan. In terms of quality, Zineday is equal to Dynamix. But he's only nine-years-old, and I wanted to build him up gradually and not tell too many people about his enormous qualities. But in Aachen, everyone saw how good he is. When I came here, I had no big expectations; I just rode from round to round." the Silver medal winner says.
