175.000 euro for best selling horse at European Sport Horse Auction

On Tuesday night the Dutch European Sport Horse Auction made a record price for the six-year-old approved sire, Verdi. Verde, the son of a Plydor-mare, was auctioned for 175.000 euro. The sire finds his new home in Italy with Giampiero Garofalo. The opening bid of 100.000 euro was made by someone of the USA, who made clear Verde was to become the best selling horse. The average price for a horse was 30.766 euro. Organiser, Kees van den Oetelaar stated to be excited with the result of his auction. "All the horses were sold and nobody of our team had to make one bid. We will have happy owners."
