Wout Jan van der Schans 'out', Stefanie Van de Brink 'in'

First Team coach, Rob Ehrens, had all difficulties creating a team for the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup in La Baule, France. Now one of his selected riders got out after a fall. Wout Jan Van der Schans fell of his horse and got injured at his hand. One of his finger tendons got cut. In an interview Ehrens states; "Wout Jan fell with an object in his hand. His tendon got fractured. Probably it will take the rider about six weeks to recover." Earlier Ehrens got bad luck when Gert Jan Bruggink's Vampire had to retire. Bruggink now calls on his second horse, MCB Ulke. Wout Jan van der Schans will be replaced by Rabo Talent-rider, Stefanie Van den Brink. She will ride her all-time favorite, the white Ace. Ehrens is happy Stefanie travelled along as a reserve rider. The Netherlands are the 8th country to start in this Nations Cup.
