Darragh Kenny's Imothep will miss out the European Championships

Darragh Kenny's top horse, Imothep (INdoctro x Calvados), will miss out on the European Championships in Aachen in August. Owner of the 12 year old stallion, Hyperion Stud, mentioned the folowing on their Facebook page; “Due to a minor injury during the Rotterdam Horse Show, Imothep will sit the next month out of competition in Europe. This unfortunate turn of events will leave him out of the European Championships this year. Bad timing but he will make a full recovery. Thank you to our team and vets for putting the horses’ health before all else!” Last year Kenny and Imothep ended 7th individually at the World Championships in Normandy. Darragh Kenny still has a good chance to make it to the Irish team though, as one of his other Grand Prix horses Sans Soucis Z is showing top form – the two were third in the Grand Prix in St. Gallen and in Paris. Last winter the pair finished second at the CSI2*- worldcup in Thermal, USA.
