Abdelkebir Ouaddar and Istanbull v.h Oievaarshof best in the CSI4* Grand Prix of Poznan

Morocco's Abdelkebir Ouaddar made it a hat-trick at 4Foulee in Poznan, Poland, when he together with the 15-year-old Istanbull v.h Oievaarshof (Casall) won Sunday's CSI4* 1.60m Grand Prix. Ouaddar also took the top honours in Thursday's 1.50m and Saturday's 1.45m, both with Ceika Malouine.

A total of 45 horse-and-rider-combinations took part in the Grand Prix of Poznan, for the trophy of the Mayor of the City of Poznań and the prizes of the City of Poznań and the patron of the event – Mr. Roman Roszkiewicz. The 1.60m Grand Prix counted for Group B of the Longines Ranking, and the athletes fought not only for a prize pool of 100,000 Euros, but also for valuable points for the individual Olympic Ranking and a qualification for this year's European Championships in Milan.

With a time of 36.30, Ouaddar was the quickest in a jump-off between seven horse-and-rider-combinations, taking the win ahead of Adrian Schmid (SUI) and Chicharito 11 (Casalito) in second in 38.68. “The owner of this horse is the King of Morocco, so we are all the more happy about this win," Ouaddar said. "I am really proud of my horse. He’s not easy to ride, but very unique. In the jump-off, I knew that I had to be fast, because my rivals were riders I knew are very quick. I am happy that we managed to win for Morocco, I am also very happy with the fantastic applause of
the Polish audience. 4Foulee is a great event, the horses feel good here and so do we.”

Karin Martinsen (SWE) and Tailormade Conita Blue PS (Conthargos) placed third in 38.77, while Wojciech Wojcianiec (POL) and Chintablue (Chintan x Chacco-Blue) finished fourth in 39.35 and Vladimir Tretera (CZE) fifth in 39.38 aboard Gangster v/h Noddevelt (Eldorado v/d Zeshoek).
