Ahlmann announces sportive retirement for Caribis Z

Christian Ahlmann (GER) has announced the retirement of his 16-year-old stallion, Caribis. In February, earlier this year, Ahlmann and Caribis competed their last international competition in Bordeaux.

Together with Caribis, Ahlmann jumped up to the highest level. The combination won the 1.60m CSI5* St Tropez Grand Prix  in 2017. One year later they conquered the Longines Masters CSI5* Grand Prix in Hong Kong. In 2019 the combination won the Leipzig World Cup competition.

"You proved it many times and left no one indifferent on the ring: your energy, your fighting spirit, your respect made you an exceptional horse. You obviously marked the sport, but especially Elsa, your groom who took such good care of you."

"It is so beautiful to be able to leave the competition grounds in great shape, thank you Christian for all the respect you offer to your horses."
