Two major auctions were scheduled last weekend. At the 132nd edition of the Hannoveran elite auction in Verden, Germany a total of 2,955,000.00 Euro was spent. Best selling horse was the Quaid I-son, Quality H. The son out of a Stakkato-mare leaves for Canada for 310,000 Euro. Best dressage horse was Superb (Surpruce x Donautanz), who was auctioned for 250,000 Euro. New owner is famous horse-owner, Madeleine Winter-Schulze. Schulze bought the Kapitale-mare for Olympic rider Isabell Werth. Most expensive foal in Verden was Viareggio (Van Vivaldi x Fürstenball). The foal switched owner for 28,000 Euro. In total 81 horses were auctioned for an average of 36,500 Euro per horse and 6,600 Euro per foal. In Belgium prices were a bit more modest. At the annual BWP Auction Antwerp the average price was set at 8,765 Euro. In total 280,500 Euro was sold with champion of the auction the brown Numero Uno-mare, Mokka Van Paemel. She switched owners for 25,000 Euro. Crockett De l'Amitie Z (Castelino vd Helle x Wallenberg) followed being sold for 20,000 Euro.
