British Eventing is pleased to announce that as of this year each of the eight BE regions will now also hold their own Regional Volunteer of the Year Awards in each of the three categories: Fence Judges of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Young Volunteer of the Year. British Eventing is lucky to have so many volunteers in varying roles and it is hoped that with the introduction of Regional Volunteer Awards more of our fantastic supporters can receive the recognition they thoroughly deserve. The Regional Volunteer of the Year awards are there to identify those who have been exceptional as a volunteer at an event or events during the season – and these awards are not just for the people who help at the event on the day but also for those who help the organiser behind the scenes throughout the year. Each of the BE Regional Committees will receive and consider the nominations from BE Organisers and BE Officials and will arrange for the presentations to be made. From the Regional Fence Judges of the Year winners the BE Awards panel will then select the winners who will fence judge at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials. The announcement of the Award winners from nominations received are usually made at the AGM towards the end of the season with presentations arranged to suit the award winners, usually in the following season.
