In Klein Flottbek, Hamburg the German Jumping and Dressage masters kicked-off on Wednesday. It were Carlos Ribas and Emanuele Gaudiano who jumped to the first wins.
In the CSI4* 1.45m Big Tour Brazil's Carlos Ribas and the 9-year-old Trix (Asterix E Z) jumped to victory. The first qualifier for the Hamburg Derby was set on their name. Ireland's Denis Lynch followed aboard his 17-year-old Rubens LS La Silla (HH Rebozo) while Shane Breen (IRL) completed the stage with Scarteen (Cardento).
The pair was followed by Marvin Jürgel (GER) and Koradina R (Lancoon) while Germany's Philipp Makowei completed the top five aboard Queo II (Quintender).
Emanuele Gaudiano wins first CSI5*
In the 1.45m CSI5* opening class Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano set the fastest time aboard his 11-year-old Crack Balou (Balou du Reventon). The pair was the only to finish in under 30 seconds. Gaudiano took the win ahead of Johannes Ehning (GER) and his C-Jay (Carthago). The stage in this 1.45m class was completed by Brazil's Yuri Mansur and Miss Blue Mystic Rose (Chacco-Blue).
The pair was followed by Stefan Engbers and Baju NRW (Balou du Rouet) while Lars Bak Andersen completed the top five aboard Piccadilly K (Perigueux).
