At Studbook Zangersheide the best young show jumpers have gathered for the FEI World Championships for Young Jumping Horses. With the seven -year-old horses it was yet again Belgium who coloured the win. Nicola Philippaerts and Chilli Willi (by Casall) rode to victory after a clear round in 69.87 seconds. Yesterday the Holsteiner-stallion jumped one fence down in the second round. Philippaerts' compatriot Wilm Vermeir followed in a second place aboard IQ van het Steentje (by Toulon). The Gelding, owned by Bert Vermeir, finished clear in 70.25 seconds. Karel Cox and the Belgian Warmbred-mare Inne van de Plataan (by Bentley vd Heffinck) finished third. The top five of the second qualifier was completed by Ann Carton-Grootjans with Irvine Ter Doorn (by Toulon) and Cavalino 26 (by Converter) with Neal Fearon.
