Farewell to Lars Parmler

The show jumping community has said farewell to Lars Parmler. Parmler was one of the founders of the Gothenburg Horse Show and one of the key persons behind the Volvo World Cup in the 1980s. Parmler died at the age of 75. Parmler was a very well known person in the show jumping community. He was active as a rider, trainer, organiser and chef d'Equipe. In his career, Parmler was national Swedish, Norwegian and Finish coach and chef d'Equipe. At the latter of his career Parmler was a tv commentator for Swedish television. Together with his wife Liz, Lars had two children: Malin (34) and Niclas (44), both active show jumping riders.
