Grand Prix stallion, Quartz Rouge passed away

The French, SF-approved sire,  Quartz Rouge (Ultimo van ter Moude) has passed away aged 19-years-old. In his sportive career the stallion performed under the saddle of Jérôme Hurel. The pair jumped to the fifth place in the 2015 European Championships in Aachen.

Hurel and Quartz Rouge had their break through in 2014 jumping to victory in the FEI Nations Cup competition in La Baule, France. One year later the pair impressed with a double clear in the Calgary's Nations Cup.

Since 2017 the stallion is fulltime active for breeding, after an injury. 

Among his offspring Golden Boy du Chalet is impressing, jumping to the finals of the French championships for Young jumping horses.
