Impressive Grand Prix win for Matthew Sampson in Sunshine Tour

Under the Spanish sun, the course was set 1.55m heigh in the CSI4* Grand Prix today. After a Jump-Off with nine, Matthew Sampson jumped to victory aboard his  Ebolensky.  Earlier Jana Wargers won the Medium Tour final

Matthew Sampson (GBR) and his 14-year-old KWPN-mare, Ebolensky (Clinton) were the only combination to keep it clear in under 40 seconds. The pair was over one second faster as Kendra Claricia Brinkop (GER) and the 10-year-old In Time (Biscayo). Only these two combinations managed to produce a double clear.

Martin Fuchs, who earlier placed third in the Medium Tour and won the 1.50m on Friday, was over one second faster as the British winner. Together with his 10-year-old Commisar Pezi (Commissario), Fuchs jumped one rail down, eventually placing third.

The combination was followed by Belgium's Rider of the year 2022, Gilles Thomas. Thomas and his 9-year-old Elfra van Beek Z (El Salvador) jumped into fourth, leaving Emeric George (FRA) and Diesel GP du Bois Madame (Cassius) in a fifth spot.

Jana Wargers conquers 1.50m Medium Tour Final

Earlier Jana Wargers (GER) jumped to victory in the 1.50m CSI4* Medium Tour Final. Aboard her 10-year-old Deesse de Coquerie (Consul Dl Vie Z), Wargers jumped to victory with almost 3 seconds difference. Scott Brash followed on stage with his 9-year-old Hello Valentino (Diamantino) while Martin Fuchs completed the stage with Viper Z (Vigo d'Arsouilles).
